Recycling Initiative
Underway
As part of the park’s ambition to reduce unnecessary
landfill and to maximise recycling opportunities, a new
recycling waste bank site is being put in place during May 2008.
The site, situated within the visitor centre car park is open to
local communities and park users who wish to recycle bottled,
paper and can waste.
All park and trader waste bins are all being replaced with new
recycled units that encourage visitors to separate their
bottles, cans and general waste. We would like to ask all
visitors to help ‘make a real difference’ by depositing their
waste in the correct bins around the park’s visitor centre and
BBQ areas.
New Park Map
Our countryside ranger service have just produce our new ‘find
your way around Mugdock Country Park leaflet’ which includes in
full colour, an A3 sized park map. The leaflet is on sale for
50p at the park office and park trader locations. This leaflet
introduces the diversity of the park to recreational users and
depicts key path & trail networks including our bridle ways.
